Hello!
I’m a Peruvian visual artist based in Berlin. I studied Audiovisual Communication at PUCP in Lima - Peru, and I coursed a year in the Visual Strategies and Stories master program at Burg Giebichenstein University of Art and Design Halle - Germany. Currently, I’m studying Art in Context at the University of Arts Berlin.
In my artistic practice -through photography, film, and archival practices-I seek to portray how sexism, classism, and conservatism influence the construction of our emotional relationships in different contexts, for instance, with public space, with our political commitment and with ourselves, our bodies and identities.
My work was mainly made of photography and moving image projects. However, over time I became increasingly keen on finding new formats that build on my photography works and enrich them by combining different techniques and including other participatory processes.
