Hi! I’m Lucía Alfaro Valencia, a visual artist from Peru, currently based in Berlin. My work moves between video, photography, archives, and installation, often exploring themes of memory, migration, and identity. I’m also drawn to public spaces as sites of encounter, tension, and storytelling—and many of my projects unfold in everyday places.

Archives are a key part of my practice. They guide my research, shape my creative process, and sometimes become the final form of the work. I enjoy digging through what’s been forgotten or left behind and finding new ways to activate memory through images, texts, and materials.

I studied Audiovisual Communication at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), and later completed a Master of Arts in the Art in Context program at the Berlin University of the Arts (UdK).
